1. Introduction

Radhiadda.com ('Portal') is a community platform created exclusively for members of the Radhi Kayastha community. This Privacy Policy explains how the Foundation ('Data Fiduciary', 'we', 'us', or 'our') collects, uses, stores, and protects your Personal Data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ('DPDP Act') and other applicable Indian laws.

By registering on and using this Portal, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

  • Personal Data: Any information that directly or indirectly identifies a natural person (Data Principal)
  • Processing: Collection, recording, storage, organisation, modification, retrieval, use, sharing, disclosure, or erasure of Personal Data
  • Data Principal: The registered user who is the subject of the Personal Data
  • Data Fiduciary: Foundation — the entity that determines the purpose and means of processing Personal Data
  • Sensitive Personal Data: Data concerning health, biometrics, financial information, caste, religion, or matrimonial details
  • Consent: A free, informed, specific, unconditional, and unambiguous agreement by the Data Principal

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Basic Registration Data

  • Full name and preferred name
  • Mobile number and email address
  • Native village, district, and state
  • Community and family details (lineage, gotra — collected for community purposes only)
  • Occupation and employer details
  • Educational qualifications
  • Interests and community involvement

3.2 Matrimony Data (Sensitive Category — Restricted Access)

The following data is collected only for users who opt into the Matrimony section and is treated as Sensitive Personal Data:

  • Date of birth and age
  • Gender
  • Gotra and family lineage details
  • Educational and professional background
  • Family background and parental details
  • Horoscope details (if provided)
  • Photographs and profile documents

Access to Matrimony data is strictly restricted — it is shared only with registered users upon mutual interest, and is not exposed to any public window or third parties.

3.3 Technical Data (Auto-Collected)

  • IP address at the time of registration and consent
  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • Login timestamps and session activity logs
  • Cookie and analytics data

4. Purpose of Data Collection

All data collected is used strictly and only for the following purposes:

  1. Community registration, verification, and account management
  2. Matrimony matchmaking facilitation within the community
  3. Enabling communication and networking between verified members
  4. Community sociology surveys, anthropological research, and geographical mapping of community presence (in aggregate or anonymised form)
  5. Platform improvement, security monitoring, and fraud prevention
  6. Legal and regulatory compliance under applicable Indian laws
  7. Community health awareness and education uplift initiatives

We do NOT sell, rent, or commercially exploit your Personal Data in any manner whatsoever.

5. Consent Framework (Core DPDP Requirement)

In accordance with Section 6 of the DPDP Act, 2023, we collect your consent as follows:

  • Consent is sought explicitly at the point of registration via the 'I Agree' mechanism
  • The consent checkbox is NOT pre-ticked — you must actively affirm your agreement
  • Each consent event is logged with: timestamp, IP address, policy version, and user identifier
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us through the 'Contact Us' form
  • Withdrawal of consent may result in no access to Portal services and account disable as applicable
  • Separate consent is sought before use of your data for purposes beyond those originally stated

6. Data Sharing Policy

6.1 Data May Be Shared With:

  • Other registered and verified Portal users — only after mutual interest is expressed (specifically for Matrimony section)
  • Third-party service providers under contract — for hosting, SMS/OTP delivery, and email communication services
  • Government authorities, law enforcement, or courts — when required by applicable law or legal process

6.2 Data Will NOT Be:

  • Sold, rented, or transferred to any commercial third party
  • Shared publicly outside the Portal environment
  • Used for targeted advertising or commercial profiling
  • Transferred to servers outside India without explicit separate consent (subject to DPDP cross-border rules)

7. Data Storage & Security

  • Encrypted storage systems using industry-standard encryption protocols
  • Role-based access control — Portal staff access to data is limited and logged
  • Secure servers preferably located within India in compliance with DPDP expectations
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring for unauthorised access
  • Strict confidentiality obligations on all personnel and service providers handling data

Important Notice: No digital system is 100% secure. By using this Portal, you acknowledge and accept inherent digital and cyber security risks.

8. Data Retention Policy

We retain your Personal Data:

  • For as long as your account remains active on the Portal
  • For such additional periods as required by applicable law (e.g., tax records, legal disputes)

Upon receiving a deletion request:

  • Your data will be removed from public view and anonymised within 30 (thirty) days
  • Certain data may be retained in anonymised or aggregate form for legal compliance and community research

9. Your Rights (Rights of Data Principal under DPDP Act)

  • Right of Access: Request a summary of Personal Data held by us and how it is being processed
  • Right of Correction: Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated Personal Data
  • Right of Erasure: Request deletion of your Personal Data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time, understanding that this may impact your ability to use the Portal
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint with the Grievance Officer
  • Right to Nominate: Nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity

10. Children's Data Policy

The Portal is not designed for or directed at children (minors below 18 years of age). Matrimony registration requires users to be of legal age. Where Minor Accounts are permitted, processing of minor data requires verifiable parental or guardian consent, and minor data is handled with heightened care and restricted access.

12. Data Breach Response

13. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Radhiadda.com uses cookies for maintaining login sessions and user authentication, improving user experience and Portal functionality, and anonymised usage analytics. Users may control or disable cookies through their browser settings. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioural tracking.

16. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. The updated Policy will be published on the Portal with a revised version number and effective date. Continued use of the Portal following publication of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
